Set-ten (接展)
A group exhibition by first-year students from the Department of Integrated Design, Tama Art University.

What kinds of points of contact emerge when six individuals—each raised in different environments and shaped by different values—gather in a single space?
To explore this question, we carried out both individual and collaborative works.

The desire to create something quickly fades if it’s not acted upon. That’s why we decided to hold this exhibition.
Throughout the preparation process, we shared our progress and thoughts through personal notebooks, reflecting on our creative approaches and our relationships with one another.

As the project leader, I was responsible for recruiting members, drafting exhibition texts, planning and managing the overall schedule, running the project’s social media and publicity, facilitating meetings, and communicating with the gallery.
I also designed the main visual, postcard, and flyer, and participated in the exhibition with my own work, including documentation photography. Main Visual is using the irregular shapes (counters) that emerge when the character 「接」 is enlarged, the main visual explores the relationship between motif and background.

Due to the visual differences between the A2-sized poster and the A6-sized postcard, the layout was designed to evoke a subtle sense of curiosity. At the same time, it invites the viewer to recognize the character as a whole when seen from a distance.

The exhibition was visited by many upper-year students, classmates, and university faculty, allowing us to demonstrate the energy and initiative of first-year students.
This experience became a new source of creative stimulation, leaving a meaningful impression on both participants and viewers.
